Telecom leads

For publishers who collect fibre and mobile enquiries and pass them to operators: standard fields, rules by area, and each lead sent only to the operators its consent covers.

Markmatix is in development. The features on this page are coming soon: we describe them as we are designing them.

Example: how we are designing it, with made-up data.

A site that compares fibre and mobile deals earns in two ways: a click through to the operator's site, or a request from someone who wants a call back. Markmatix will handle both exits with the same rules, and for every request it will keep fields, consent, delivery and revenue together. It is in development: this page describes how we are designing it, for Italy first and with the rest of the EU in mind.

Standard fields for fibre and mobile

Markmatix will provide a telecoms schema, with validation and versions: the service (home fibre or mobile), the technology, such as FTTH, and the current operator. Each publisher will be able to add its own fields. With one schema for everyone, the connector to an operator will be written once and work for every publisher that deals with it.

Lead capture can run in steps: the request will be created at the first step, with contact details and consent, and later steps will open from a signed personal link, with no login. Each step will update the lead's score and value.

Click or transfer: two exits, the same rules

The click through to the operator will be an outbound link that goes through the same rules as a data transfer. It will carry the identifier you choose: the contact, the campaign, or none.

A data transfer will go to the operator's API, a signed webhook, an encrypted email or a file over SFTP. Everything will pass through a queue with retries and a log of every delivery, so you will know what arrived, where and when.

Rules by area and by operator

Each request will run through a cascade of rules in priority order: vertical, area, score, daily and monthly caps, partner opening hours. It will go to the first operator that accepts it. An area rule could, for example, send an operator only the requests from the areas where it sells.

For each operator you will choose whether the lead is exclusive or shared. Unsold requests will stay with you where consent allows, and can be offered again for 7 days.

In the consent record every tick box will be a row that is never edited: exact wording with its fingerprint, version, date, IP address and page. Consent to pass data on can be asked for a single operator or for a category. Before every delivery Markmatix will check the recipient against the consent: if it is not covered, the lead will not leave, even if a rule would pick it. Withdrawals and erasure requests will reach the operators that received the request on their own.

Operators' calls

Many telecom requests end in a phone call. In Italy the Registro pubblico delle opposizioni covers every national number, landline and mobile, and according to its site operators must check it every month and in any case before telephone campaigns. Markmatix will keep the date, time and wording of every consent, and the proof will travel with the lead. How that register, or your own country's, applies to partners' calls is for a lawyer to set: the project document lists it among the points to check. There is more on this on the energy page.

Quality and revenue

The quality checks will look at email and phone: a domain that accepts mail, typos, disposable addresses, number format and type. A new request from the same email or phone within 30 days will be a duplicate. Sources that behave oddly will be quarantined, with an alert on Telegram.

Revenue will come back through network postbacks: one address per network, a repeated postback counted once, every change a new row. Revenue will be broken down by source, site, partner and period, with the reversal rate.

Common questions

What are telecom leads?

They are requests from people interested in a fibre or mobile deal who agree to be contacted by an operator. A publisher collects them on its site and passes them on, and is paid when the operator accepts or converts them.

Does Markmatix work with affiliate links too?

Yes, that is planned. The click through to the partner will be one of the two exits, with the same rules as a data transfer and the identifier the publisher chooses. Revenue will come back through the network's postbacks.

Can a fibre lead go to more than one operator?

Yes, if consent covers them and the lead is set as shared for those operators. If it is exclusive, it will go to one only. An operator that consent does not cover will not receive it.

Will Markmatix check fibre coverage?

No, that is not among the planned features. Markmatix will use the data the request carries, such as the area, in its routing rules. Checking coverage will stay with the operator.

When will it be available?

Markmatix is in development and we are not giving dates. Join the waitlist and we will write when early access opens, and only about that.
